As she looked at the palm-sized Karmic Fire Red Lotus and World-Destroying Black Lotus in Tongtian's hands, both radiating gentle halos, a crimson blush instantly spread across Nüwa's exquisite face.

She had thought Daochen had forgotten.
Yet he had remembered all along.
He had even sent Tongtian, a dignified Sage, to her Wa Emperor Palace to propose on his behalf.
Clearly, Daochen had given this considerable thought.
Otherwise, with so many people in the Heavenly Court, why had Daochen not sent Eastern Emperor Taiyi, Dijun, or even her unreliable brother Fuxi to make the proposal?

Nüwa could even imagine it.

After all, Daochen's relationship with the Three Pure Ones could hardly be called good. It was even rather bad.
Yet Tongtian had agreed, so there must have been many bitter struggles behind it that Nüwa knew nothing about.

As for her earlier resentment toward Daochen, it had vanished without a trace the instant the Karmic Fire Red Lotus and World-Destroying Black Lotus appeared.
For a moment, a hundred flavors mingled in Nüwa's heart. She had been furious before, yet now she felt strangely different.
