Daochen returned to the Demon Realm.
He breathed a sigh of relief and summoned the Nine-Headed Serpent, who had entered the Demon Realm ahead of the others.
This fellow was temperamental, with good and bad in equal measure.
But he was still very loyal to the Demon Race.
Daochen sought out the Nine-Headed Serpent.
"I summoned you today to entrust you with a task. Do you know about the capture of my imperial children, Qingchan and Qingxuan, after the Demon Court's destruction?"
The Nine-Headed Serpent nodded. "I was in the Demon Territory at the time, so I do know about it. But my strength was too meager to be of service to Your Majesty."
Daochen waved his hand. "You are not to blame for this. Fate was simply too despicable."
"I summoned you today precisely to save my children."
"There aren't many veterans left among the Demon Race. You now count among the best of them. I want you to wear this ring, go to the Primordial Earth, and travel throughout the Nine Mountains and Eight Seas, taking it with you to search for traces of my imperial children."
The Nine-Headed Serpent was a little apprehensive. "Your Majesty, I'm not trying to shirk this duty, but the Primordial World is vast, its population immense, and its secret realms boundless. No ordinary person could cover them all. Where should I search?"
"If I search this immense Primordial World like someone fishing for a needle in the sea, who knows how many yuanhui it will take?"
He was not actually afraid of wasting time. Rather, such a long delay would be far too dangerous for Qingchan and Qingxuan.
