The two traded bewildered complaints.
"How did the Demon Emperor do it? Why couldn't we detect anything?"
"Even sensing through the Great Dao, I didn't notice anything unusual. Energy is everywhere in the Primordial World, but there's none of the resentment he mentioned."
"I don't know. I tried sensing it too, and there wasn't any resentment at all. Since it's called resentment, it must affect the mind. It must be a special kind of energy, but why isn't there anything unusual in the Primordial World?"
"But the disappearance of spiritual energy is undeniably real."
Daochen, however, had no intention of explaining it to them.
He continued his work, beginning to clear out the grid cells.
Over these days of work, he had breathed a sigh of relief.
He looked at Heavenly Dao Hongjun and praised him. "Fortunately, the Heavenly Dao acted decisively and severed these spaces. Otherwise, these Resentment Aggregates would probably have scattered to every corner of the Primordial World."
"They're much easier to clear out now. Although the Primordial World is vast, they're all sealed inside these spaces. Once the hidden threats are removed, clearing out these spaces is much easier."
Hearing the Demon Emperor's praise, Heavenly Dao Hongjun instinctively felt pleased. After all, this was recognition of his efforts.
"It was only my duty. If I lacked even that much awareness, I truly wouldn't deserve to be the Heavenly Dao!"
Hearing their words, the Lord of Fate's face instantly flushed red. As the Lord of Fate, he counted as half a master of the Buddha Realm, yet they had only realized the severity of the situation after the Buddha Realm's spiritual energy had been exhausted.
By comparison, they fell far short of Heavenly Dao Hongjun.
But would they admit it?
They would never admit their own mistakes.
