Liu Changxu stepped out of the Artifact Refining Hall with a relaxed expression. Looking up, he saw his wives gathering around him, their faces bright with smiles.
"Husband, have you finished refining the Interstellar Teleportation Array?"
Zhao Qi'er blinked her lively eyes and asked softly, brimming with anticipation.
Her long hair flowed like a waterfall, stirring gently in the breeze. The floral ornament in her hair swayed with it, lending her an extra touch of delicate beauty.
A faint smile curved Liu Changxu's lips. With a hint of pride in his eyes, he replied:
"Yes, I've successfully refined it. It took quite a lot of effort, but thankfully, hard work never fails a determined heart."
A radiant smile instantly blossomed across Zhao Qi'er's exquisite face, as bright and lovely as a flower in full bloom. She said cheerfully:
"That's wonderful! Mother came over just now specifically to ask about it. I told her it was almost finished, and only then did she go back with her mind at ease."
Liu Changxu nodded slightly and said:
"Come, let's go see Mother and tell her the good news."
"All right!"
His wives answered in unison.
And so, surrounded by his wives, Liu Changxu rose into the air. Like a flock of graceful birds, they flew toward Longevity Peak, where his parents lived.
Longevity Peak was not particularly tall, rising only a little over three thousand zhang. Amid the rolling, majestic heights of Azure Cloud Mountain, it looked like an utterly unremarkable little mound.
Yet the peak possessed a charm all its own. Verdant trees cast their shade over the slopes, flowers bloomed like rich brocade, and clear springs murmured through the mountain. Now and then, a few crisp birdcalls rang out, making the lovely scenery seem like a painting crafted by nature.
