Those mortals might not even realize it in their daily lives.
Yet, subconsciously, they held awe and reverence in their hearts for the nation, that weapon of war.
That was how gods worked.
A god was not necessarily something people constantly spoke of.
Some gods could not be seen at all.
What the people always held in awe was the government.
The government represented myth.
The Imperial Court was where myth began.
Every last bit of power would flow toward that legendary, unseen realm.

Something akin to the final destination of all life after death.
But this destination existed only for the deceased inhabitants of that Human Path dynasty.
In their hearts, they identified with a kingdom or a dynasty.
It did not matter what means were used.
Fear, reverence, worship, or anything of the sort.
What ruler would truly care about such distinctions?

Because from the very beginning, the Human Path system
was destined to wear an outer skin of benevolence and righteousness.
