The last time Gungun and Hou Yi had visited Kunlun together, Four-Unlike's performance had been... sigh, words failed him. In short, Yuanshi had been utterly disappointed in him.
He was the Primordial Heavenly Venerable, a true heir of Pangu and a future Saint. How could his mount be so useless and disgrace him?
He had promised the Primordial Qilin that he would take Four-Unlike in, so he could not go back on his word. In that case, that useless thing can keep the title. I'll select another two good mounts. After all, who decreed that I could only have one mount? Right?
Yuanshi walked through the Iron-Eating Forest as though no bears existed there, utterly unconcerned that any bear might mistake him for an enemy. He had no fear of being attacked, and if it happened, he only needed to announce his identity. Given his status, never mind the other Iron-Eating Beasts here-even that rather impressive Ancestral Bear would suffer no indignity by becoming his mount. Unfortunately, Houtu had beaten him to it. A pity, such a pity~
But back to the matter at hand: as much as he walked as though no bears existed here, there really were no bears. Where had they all gone?
Yuanshi had walked around for quite some time without seeing even a single Iron-Eating Beast. At that thought, he frowned and performed a divination on his fingers. Two seconds later, he turned toward the nearby Crouching Bear Hall and headed over.
"Who's there?" Yuanshi's footsteps startled the Iron-Eating Beasts, who had hidden inside for nearly two thousand years without once emerging. One of them shouted toward the entrance.
"I am Yuanshi." Yuanshi stepped onto the stairs and spoke with imposing dignity.
"The Primordial Heavenly Venerable?!" At that name, every Iron-Eating Beast inside was stunned.
