"Hm?" Dijun was handling affairs of state at the Jade Pool while anxiously awaiting news from Nine-Infant, hoping he could drag that rebellious son Lu Ya back to him. Suddenly, he felt his Hetu Luoshu tremble as a thread of heaven's secrets leaked out, leaving the entire bird stunned.
He immediately set down the memorial in his hands, opened his right hand, and summoned the Hetu Luoshu.
Bzzz! A flash of divine light passed, and the Hetu Luoshu appeared.
Looking down at the Hetu Luoshu in his hand, Dijun knitted his brows. After a moment, he rested his left hand on it, closed his eyes, and sensed it carefully. Somewhere in the unseen depths, he seemed to peer through endless mist and... see a divine sword.
What sword was that?
"Draw upon the resentment of all living beings, gather the blood of Saints, and forge... the Witch-Slaying Sword!" Suddenly, a mighty voice rang out within his primordial spirit.
Boom! The next instant, the mist vanished, and heaven's secrets expelled Dijun's consciousness. The bird's eyes snapped open as he came back to his senses.
"Huff, huff, huff..." After opening his eyes, Dijun gasped for breath. Having his consciousness blasted out of the mist by heaven's secrets had been unpleasant, but compared with what he had just seen and heard, that little discomfort was hardly worth mentioning.
"The Witch-Slaying Sword!" A glimmer of excitement flashed in Dijun's eyes as he murmured.
He promptly rose from the seat of honor and paced back and forth within the Jade Pool, still holding the Hetu Luoshu.
He had to hurry while heaven's secrets had yet to descend back into such complete confusion that even the Hetu Luoshu could divine nothing, and calculate as much information about the Witch-Slaying Sword as possible.
He calculated and calculated.
