The Suiming Tribe's current predicament could be summed up in one sentence: it was too cold, and they could not stand it.
There were plenty of ways to solve this problem. For instance, giving them an Immortal Pill would allow someone in the tribe to attain a barely passable cultivation level. Leaving aside anything more ambitious, that person could at least conjure flames with ease, and with fire, they could live in peace.
But...
That was no lasting solution!
A Bei knew that the Human Race would face many more challenges in the future. Some would come from outside, and others from within the Human Race itself. Those challenges would claim countless human lives-yes, just like the disaster caused by the War of the Liches.
When that happened, the strong would be gone, leaving only the weak, whose cultivation was insufficient and whose spells were unrefined. They would still suffer in the freezing cold.
Since that was the case, why not follow the principle of "better to teach them to fish than give them fish" and simply guide them into learning how to make fire without spells?
