It was still that same dilapidated courtyard.
Han Xiangzi was playing his flute, while Dream Demon played the erhu. The two got along harmoniously; at first glance, they almost seemed like kindred hearts-no, kindred spirits.
"Roooar~" Suddenly, a dragon's roar rang out, and Yancai descended from the sky.
Seeing her, Han Xiangzi froze and stopped playing his flute. He looked at her and said, "Yancai?"
"Come with me, now." Yancai wasted no words on Han Xiangzi. She went straight over, grabbed him, and tried to take him away.
"But Brother Meng?" Han Xiangzi looked toward Dream Demon, a trace of hesitation on his face.
Seeing this, Yancai said to Dream Demon as well, "Senior, your mighty reputation shakes heaven and earth. We juniors shall trouble your leisurely pursuits no further. Farewell!"
With that, Yancai forcibly dragged Han Xiangzi away through the air.
Dream Demon watched them, a faint smile appearing on his face.
A little while later, just as Yancai thought they had flown far enough to shake him off, the sound of an erhu suddenly rang out. A streak of demon light flashed before them, and Dream Demon appeared again.
As the erhu's music reached his ears, Han Xiangzi's eyelids grew heavy. Then he abruptly collapsed onto the cloud.
"Han Xiangzi! You..." Yancai first cried out to Han Xiangzi in concern, then glared furiously at Dream Demon before her. "With your standing, why must you insist on making things difficult for Han Xiangzi?"
"I am Dream Demon. My hobby is collecting perfect dreams. Immortals, demons, mortals-anyone with a good dream is my prey. Han Xiangzi is filled with despair toward reality. Someone like him should, by rights, be willing to sink into his dreams and never wake again. Yet twice I have drawn him into a dream, and
