The world of Chaos was a stretch of nothingness. Within that empty space, an enormous green lotus gave birth to an incomparably majestic deity named Pangu!
Pangu possessed an accompanying supreme treasure, the Heaven-Opening Divine Axe. After his birth, he surveyed Chaos and frowned, feeling terribly stifled. This... was not the world he wanted.
He wanted a world with light, water, mountains, and all sorts of environments where many living beings could survive. He felt he ought to create one.
But creating a world within Chaos was no simple feat. He hesitated briefly, then decided... to go for it!
And so, holding the Heaven-Opening Divine Axe, he began attempting to create a world.
This was the first time anyone in Chaos had tried to open the heavens.
His actions drew the attention of the three thousand Chaos Demon Gods. Among them were Yang Mei, Luo Hou, Hongjun, Yin-Yang, Qian Kun, Senmu... They came together to stop Pangu.
But no matter how they tried to stop him, Pangu remained determined to create the world he wanted. Thus, battle broke out between them.
Though they were all Demon Gods, Pangu was special. He possessed incomparably mighty divine power. Even when all three thousand Demon Gods swarmed him together, they were no match for him, and he slaughtered them almost to the last. Only Hongjun and a handful of others saw the tide turning against them and immediately fled, saving their lives.
With the three thousand Demon Gods no longer obstructing him, Pangu successfully created a world. He also cast the seeds of laws left behind by the three thousand Demon Gods into it. He named this world the Primordial World.
