Key plot points and events
- Tongtian confronts Xiao Ming, the eighth-heaven Dao-Unification Realm master of White Tiger Hall, while the two forces battle across the Interception Sect grounds.
- Xiao Ming uses the Heaven-Imprisoning Lock to restrain Tongtian and orders his elders, Jiang Yang and Wang Chu, to kill Nan Yi. They cannot initially break free of Tongtian’s pursuing swords.
- Tongtian reveals that the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation has already enclosed the battlefield, with its power woven into the sect’s protective array. He uses it to slaughter more than half of White Tiger Hall’s weaker disciples.
- Xiao Ming retaliates with the Silver-Chain Flying Knife, joining it to the Heaven-Imprisoning Lock. The combined weapon sweeps through the Interception Sect’s disciples, forcing Tongtian to divide his attention between fighting Xiao Ming and protecting his followers.
- Jiang Yang and Wang Chu seize the opening to attack Nan Yi. Nan Yi delays them with two powerful talismans, but when they recover and attack again, he has no remaining defenses.
- Though Nan Yi could flee, he stays to protect the Interception Sect. As he charges up for a final stand, he angrily tells Tongtian that Tongtian owes him a life.
