Although Shin Uchiha was not afraid of the Third Tsuchikage and could even crush him utterly, this was Iwagakure, the Third Tsuchikage's home turf. Shin Uchiha had no desire to fight a potentially unhinged Third Tsuchikage in his own stronghold.
He could have simply used brute force to tear down the entire wall, store it in his space, and take his time breaking the seal once he returned.
But Shin Uchiha really wanted to know whether breaking the seal and taking its contents in such a short time would make the Third Tsuchikage question everything he knew. That was why he stood there studying the seal on the wall.
The seal on the wall was not particularly complicated to Shin Uchiha. It was merely an Eight Trigrams Seal combined with a variation of the Five Elements Seal.
However, the seal's core contained a special type of chakra left behind by the person who had cast it. If the chakra nature did not match, the self-destruct mechanism within the seal would activate.
With Shin Uchiha's level of sealing expertise, he could not break this seal in such a short time, but he could prevent its self-destruct mechanism from activating.
