Just as Shin Uchiha was about to enter Konoha's famous Food Street and treat himself to a feast, a gentle, tender voice suddenly called out from behind him.
"Shin-kun, it's been a while."
Shin Uchiha immediately turned around at the sound of that voice.
Not far behind him stood a graceful, slender woman with a face as lovely as a peach blossom, gazing at him with tenderness and hurt in her eyes.
Shin Uchiha had recognized her the moment he heard her voice. It was Kurenai Yuhi, with all her mature allure. He had been busy training in Sage Mode lately, however, and had not gone to see her for some time.
What surprised Shin Uchiha was that Kurenai Yuhi seemed to have lost quite a bit of weight. Her face, normally brimming with mature charm, now had a fragile, forlorn look to it.
Shin Uchiha was still delighted to run into Kurenai Yuhi here. Although he did not know why she seemed so out of sorts, he eagerly walked over to her.
Stopping in front of her, Shin Uchiha looked at her beautiful face and said, "Kurenai, you're just in time. I was about to get something to eat. Want to come?"
Kurenai Yuhi had not expected those to be his first words to her. She froze for a moment before a single word slipped from her red lips. "Sure."
Hearing her answer, Shin Uchiha said nothing more. He simply took her hand and headed toward the Yakiniku Restaurant he had in mind. He had gone hungry for almost an entire day and night, and his craving for food had reached its peak. He planned to start with some grilled meat, then go on a rampage and eat his way through Food Street.
