Winning his allegiance

Shin Uchiha looked at Zabuza's grim expression and said calmly, "What? Not going to fight back?"

Zabuza had already let go of the Kubikiribōchō's hilt. He shook his head with difficulty. How could he possibly fight back? Never mind being gravely injured-even at full strength, he probably would not last more than a few exchanges against the man before him.

Zabuza might have been injured, but his mind still worked. The man had broken his Hidden Mist Technique with nothing but the force of his chakra and presence. Forget encountering something like that-he had never even dared to imagine it.

From his experience, Zabuza knew that the man before him was far stronger than he was. Even the Fourth Mizukage, the so-called Perfect Jinchuriki he had just tried to assassinate, had not put him under anywhere near this much pressure.

Seeing that Zabuza was ready to give up, Shin Uchiha's lips curved slightly. He had only intended to take Haku back with him, yet Zabuza had delivered himself right to his doorstep.

Zabuza's strength was fairly decent, and he had a good temperament for the job. He would make a capable subordinate. Although Shin Uchiha was hardly short of fighters at that level, Zabuza could still be useful in his future plans, so he decided to take him in.

Shin Uchiha glanced at Zabuza and activated his Sharingan, transforming it into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. Zabuza felt as though his body had been pinned in place, unable to move an inch. Then Shin Uchiha's calm voice reached him:

"You may find my name familiar. You should have heard it before. My name is Shin Uchiha."

Even though Zabuza had prepared himself, Shin Uchiha's words still gave him a fright.

By now, Shin Uchiha's name had spread throughout the Shinobi World.
