The greatest difference between Deva Path Pain and Yahiko was his perpetually cold, unchanging expression, a stark contrast to Yahiko's warm, cheerful demeanor.

That was only because the Six Paths of Pain were all Nagato's avatars, unlike his true body, which was brimming with emotion.

Yahiko paid no attention to any of that. He stared intently into Pain's eyes. Only those eyes made him feel as though he was speaking to Nagato.

"Nagato, how's your health? Where are you? Konan and I will come see you."

Knowing Nagato was unwell, Yahiko no longer had any desire to reminisce. He wanted to rush over immediately and see how his younger brother was doing.

When Nagato (Pain) heard Yahiko's words, his face remained expressionless, but a flicker of warmth passed through his eyes. Looking at the anxious Yahiko, he reassured him:

"Brother Yahiko, I'm fine. It's been so many years that I'm used to it now. You and Konan stay where you are. I'm already on my way."

Before Yahiko could respond, Konan stepped forward and said:

"Nagato, it's hard for you to move around, and it's pouring outside. Let me take Brother Yahiko to you instead."

Nagato shook his head, looked at Konan, and said:

"Konan, don't try to talk me out of it. I've waited so many years, and Brother Yahiko has finally returned. No matter what, I have to come to him. You should understand that now that Brother Yahiko is back, there's no need for me to carry on with my plan.

"Brother Yahiko has only just returned. Once he's had a few days to adjust, I'll hand the Akatsuki back to him. As for me, I'll still be his younger brother-the younger brother who always stood at his side."
