He merely nodded and said, "I understand. Then, if I really do hold King's Landing, how will you reward me? Or, if I die, will you mourn me?"
In the end, Tyrion still asked his father that question with a little hope.
But Tywin only glanced sideways at him, then went back to the business in his hands without giving him any answer.
Tyrion could only shrug in self-mockery and say with a smile, "All right, don't worry, Father. Even if I die, I'll take a few of them with me."
As he spoke, he hopped down from the chair and swung his short little arms a few times, as though hacking at something with a sword.
Tywin ignored his antics and waved him away.
Tyrion turned toward the door, then suddenly stopped.
"Father." He did not turn around, only looked back at Tywin, who was bent over his desk. "Whatever you think of me, I carry the blood of a true Lannister lion. I'll do everything I can to hold King's Landing."
With that, he opened the door and left.
Only then did Tywin raise his head and watch him leave, his face expressionless.
Kevan looked at him and sighed. "Brother, are you really going to send him off like this?"
Tywin did not answer. He returned to the documents on his desk, but his thoughts were elsewhere. Casterly Rock was indeed easy to defend and hard to attack, but whether it could withstand dragons, even he did not know.
But he was Tywin Lannister, and he would not sit idle and wait for death.
"Kevan." He looked at Kevan, who was still in the study. "Send word to Renly and Stannis at once. Tell them that if King's Landing falls, they will certainly be next. If they want
