Viserys looked at the undisguised gratitude and admiration in Sansa's eyes. His gaze remained calm, yet held a reassuring warmth as he said, "There is no need to be so polite, Lady Sansa. You and Lady Jeyne must not have slept well last night. You can go and rest now. Once word arrives from the North, I will have someone let you know."

With that, Viserys assigned two Valyrian Guards to escort Sansa and Jeyne to the room prepared for them.

"Thank you, Your Grace," Sansa replied respectfully, her heart full of hope for the future. Perhaps Viserys's arrival really would bring her a different fate.

The two guards promptly stepped forward and said to Sansa and Jeyne, "Lady Sansa, Lady Jeyne, please follow us."

With Jeyne beside her, Sansa curtsied to Viserys again, less stiffly than before. Then they followed the guards out of the Audience Chamber.

The moment she stepped out of the room, Sansa felt as though an immense weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Her whole body relaxed, and she could not help drawing a deep breath of the Red Keep's air, touched with a warmth she had not felt in so long.

She glanced at Jeyne, who still looked worried, and gently patted the back of her hand, giving her a reassuring look.

But Jeyne still stole a glance at the guards leading the way before leaning close to Sansa and whispering in her ear, "Sansa, do you really think he... His Grace Viserys won't treat us the way the Lannisters did?"
