A little while later, Arya finally stopped and raised a hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead, her breathing a little quick and her chest rising and falling gently. Suddenly, as though something had occurred to her, she turned to Viserys. A mischievous gleam flashed in her eyes, and a smile curled her lips. "Your Majesty, since you're so skilled, why not spar with me now? It's been ages since we last practiced together."

Viserys raised an eyebrow at the rather petite Arya standing before him. Her eyes brimmed with challenge, like a young she-wolf itching for a fight.

He couldn't help chuckling. "Are you sure? Don't forget how our last bout ended. I won't go easy on you."

"I don't need you to." Arya grinned, revealing two small, pointed canine teeth. She tightened her grip on her sword and settled into a fighting stance. "Come on. Let me see how good you are now, and how much stronger you've become."

Viserys smiled too. With Arya's level of skill, how could she possibly gauge the depths of his strength? Still, he took a practice sword from the nearby weapon rack, hefted it in his hand, and walked into the center of the yard.

Sunlight fell across his shoulders, stretching his shadow far behind him. The atmosphere in the Training Ground suddenly grew tense with excitement as they awaited the coming bout.

Arms folded, the instructor watched the two of them take their stances with keen interest. He tactfully retreated to the edge of the Training Ground, leaving them all the space they needed.

He was the teacher Viserys had found for Arya in King's Landing and knew nothing of their past, so he also wanted a closer look at how His Majesty the Dragonlord taught this stubborn young lady
