"Your Grace, I'm not nervous," she whispered, but the slight tremor in her voice betrayed her, revealing the flutter in her heart.

Viserys smiled, then leaned down and kissed her lips.

Unlike the tentative kiss before, this one was deep and passionate, heavy with an almost suffocating possessiveness. Roslin lost her breath at once, and her hands instinctively clutched the front of Viserys's clothes.

Her lips were impossibly soft, carrying a faint, enticing freshness from having just washed. Viserys rested his palm against her waist. Even through her thin silk nightdress, he could feel her temperature rising, her skin growing warm.

Roslin closed her eyes, her lashes trembling. She could hear her heartbeat thundering in her ears and feel Viserys slowly, gently undoing the ties of her nightdress.

As the ties came loose, Roslin's pale moon-white nightdress slipped to her waist, revealing the close-fitting silk slip beneath, which traced her slender curves.

Roslin instinctively tried to cover herself, but lowered her hands again before they were halfway up. In the end, she merely bit her lip, her cheeks burning red, and let herself surrender to the moment.

A smile curved Viserys's lips as he watched her, so shy and bashful.

He did not speak right away. Instead, he lowered his head again, kissed her shoulder, then worked his way down along her collarbone. Roslin arched slightly, unable to suppress a faint sigh. Her fingers slipped into Viserys's silver hair, unconsciously caressing his scalp, entirely beyond her control.

The sound she had just made startled even her. It had been so quiet that scarcely anyone but the two of them could have heard it, yet her face immediately burned.

"Your Grace," she whispered, her voice trembling with a pleading note she herself did not recognize.

"Call me Viserys." His lips brushed
