Viserys led his companions on a dragon ride and hunt in the Kingswood, then welcomed The Hound and his new recruits to King's Landing. A Faceless Man revealed the Iron Bank's bounty on Viserys, while Pycelle secretly left the Red Keep and Viserys took Ygritte to see the city.
Viserys and Daenerys arrived in Highgarden to demand Reach troops for the Wall and address the Ironborn remnants. As the Reach houses weighed their loyalties, Margaery moved toward a closer alliance with Viserys, while House Tyrell took responsibility for enforcing the levies.
Viserys and Daenerys left Highgarden to find the Ironborn, destroying hidden fleets along the Sunset Sea and Fog Zone. They found Asha unconscious in an abandoned camp, and Viserys told her that her men were dead before confronting her about the Ironborn’s attacks.
Viserys dealt with Asha’s challenge, reviewed the Westerlands’ mines and port, then traveled with Daenerys to White Harbor to arrange supplies for the Wall. The pair prepared to continue north after House Manderly pledged its support.
Viserys and Daenerys traveled north to search for the Horn of Winter and the Greenseer, encountering wights and a powerful Other in the Haunted Forest. Viserys found the Greenseer’s presence in ancient ruins and began bargaining with trapped beings for knowledge of the Cold God and the Night’s King.
Viserys secured the Horn of Winter from Brynden Raven and prepared Castle Black for the Night’s King’s growing threat, while learning more about Daenerys’s bond with her dragons. He also began investigating erased histories and House Stark’s possible secrets, seeking knowledge and leverage as the Long Night approached.
