The name sounded vaguely familiar, and Aegon immediately began searching his mind.
He repeated the name silently, while the memories of his previous life, enhanced by the system, raced through his head.
Using his system-enhanced memory, he swiftly searched his recollections of the original story for references to her.
He remembered that name.
But before proceeding, caution prompted him to ask another question-
"What relation is Ser Byron Swann to you? He must have mentioned me to you, my lady?"
"My cousin Byron certainly mentioned you, Your Highness," Johanna answered honestly.
Her voice was still hoarse, but it held more life than before, as though mentioning her cousin had given her something to cling to on this unfamiliar sea.
"It's just that I... never thought... you would really be just as the rumors say..."
As she spoke, the girl stole glances at Aegon.
She raised her head, her deep eyes meeting the violet gaze of the silver-haired youth on the dragon's back, and her cheeks began to flush despite herself.
The sea breeze lifted her tangled black hair, revealing a face whose grime could not conceal its delicate features.
She seemed about to say something, but swallowed the words and simply stared at the youth astride the enormous black dragon-
He looked even more "mature" than she had imagined, more gallant, and even more closely matched... matched those rumors of him being "precociously wise and gifted, like a god descended from heaven, a true dragon made flesh."
But Aegon, immersed in retrieving his memories, clearly failed to notice the girl's ears growing red below him.
He kept searching his memory for that familiar yet unfamiliar name, until the account associated with it finally surfaced and everything became clear.
