Haotian abandoned Primordial Chaos Qi; the Jade Emperor sought to attain Primordial Unity

"So matters have already slipped beyond the control of the Heavenly Dao and the Dao Ancestor," Haotian said.

"Indeed, but that may not be a bad thing for us," the Jade Emperor said.

"Oh? How so?" Haotian asked in confusion.

"Think about it. Tongtian fought those two fellows from the West for that monkey, and Houtu fought the Dao Ancestor for Tongtian. That means all three belong to the same camp.

"And of those three, Tongtian and Houtu attained Primordial Unity right under the Dao Ancestor's nose, while that monkey also possesses the strength of Primordial Unity.

"If we joined their camp, couldn't we also attain Primordial Unity and enjoy true freedom, unbound by anything? Wouldn't that be better than being a puppet Saint?" the Jade Emperor said.

Haotian pondered for a moment, then said, "That makes sense. But you and I are both under the control of the Heavenly Dao and the Dao Ancestor. How could we join their camp?"

"That's simple. Have Venus approach that monkey and convey our intentions," the Jade Emperor said.

"Good. That's what we'll do. In that case, I can do without this position as a Saint," Haotian said.

"But you still cannot end your seclusion," the Jade Emperor said. "Otherwise, the Heavenly Dao and the Dao Ancestor will notice."

"Very well. I'll leave this matter to you," Haotian said.

"Rest assured. I'll handle it," the Jade Emperor said.

The Jade Emperor then left Haotian's place of seclusion and went to Tongming Hall. He summoned Venus, concealed their affairs from heavenly divination, and asked, "Venus, can I trust you?"

Overcome with emotion, Venus said, "Your Majesty, this old servant would brave fire and boiling water for you without hesitation."

"Good, Venus. I was right about you. I now have a matter of utmost secrecy
