Cui Anze looked momentarily startled at the sight of his sister sobbing so hard she could barely breathe in his arms, but he quickly recovered and gently patted Cui Anhe on the back.
As he helped his sister catch her breath, he looked up and gave Ji Yunhuai a courteous smile before asking, "What brings you here, Yun Huai?"
Cui Anze had always been reasonable and knew where to draw the line, so he and Ji Yunhuai got along fairly well.
When Cui Anze spoke, Ji Yunhuai reined in some of his hostility, though his voice remained icy. "I'm here to settle the score with your sister."
Ji Yunhuai's words were blunt, but Cui Anze knew what he was like. He merely nodded, his smile remaining perfectly polite.
"Is this about what happened to Miss Lu last time?" he asked.
Seeing that Cui Anze knew about it, Ji Yunhuai raised an eyebrow in mild surprise. He didn't ask any questions, however, and simply answered, "Yes."
Cui Anze smiled again. Curling his index finger, he pushed up the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, a probing look entering his eyes. "Is that Miss Lu someone you have feelings for?"
Ji Yunhuai answered without the slightest hesitation. "Yes."
"Waaaaaaaah! Boo-hoo-hoo... this isn't fair at all!!!"
Hearing Ji Yunhuai admit his feelings for Lu Xiaoxiao, Cui Anhe immediately cried even louder, her wails practically lifting the roof. Cui Anze rubbed her head comfortingly, unable to help a rueful smile.
