Ji Yunhuai raised an eyebrow. "That surprised? Hasn't the Lu Family ever taken you somewhere like this?"
"Uh... maybe before. I don't really remember." Only after Ji Yunhuai asked did Lu Xiaoxiao realize she had slipped out of her rich-heiress persona. She hurried to cover it up. "Besides, complimenting your friend's fancy riding club makes you look good too!"
At that, the amusement in Ji Yunhuai's eyes visibly deepened.
"Jiang Lei's unreliable in other ways, but riding is his hobby, so he really does put a lot of effort into running this place. His trainers and instructors are all top professionals, and the horses' breeding and training are first-rate too."
"Mm-hmm, I can tell." Lu Xiaoxiao stopped looking around and asked, "By the way, shouldn't we change into riding clothes first?"
"Of course." With both hands in his pockets, Ji Yunhuai casually tipped his chin in one direction. "Go on. The changing room's over there. The staff will get you an outfit."
Lu Xiaoxiao acknowledged him and headed toward the changing room.
After asking a staff member for riding clothes in her size, Lu Xiaoxiao began to change.
The outfit had long sleeves with slightly fitted cuffs, each fastened with a small silver button that kept them from slipping while adding a neat, refined touch. The cuffs and collar were lined with dark gray fleece, soft and comfortable while also lending the outfit visual depth.
The bottoms were slim-fitting black riding breeches that followed the contours of her legs, tapering at the ankles to fit perfectly into her riding boots. Like the jacket, the fabric was stretchy and hard-wearing, allowing plenty of freedom of movement on horseback while maintaining an elegant appearance.
The outfit looked lovely, but there was one small problem: a row of buttons on the back of
