At the sound of Ji Yunhuai's familiar voice, Lu Xiaoxiao startled and turned around. She found him watching her with his head tilted, one hand tucked into his pocket and the other raised in greeting, a relaxed smile playing at his lips.
"Whoa! Where did you teleport in from? You scared me to death!" Lu Xiaoxiao patted her startled heart, yet the corners of her mouth had been lifting uncontrollably from the moment she saw him.
Her first instinct was to ask Ji Yunhuai what was going on with the milk tea, but when she caught sight of the oblivious crew members still standing nearby, she quickly swallowed the question.
It wasn't as though she couldn't guess why Ji Yunhuai had done it. He simply wanted to win people over on her behalf, just as he had given her the credit when he invested in Wei Yun's project.
Still, Lu Xiaoxiao didn't actually have many scenes in this drama. In other words, she wouldn't be with the crew for very long, so she really hadn't considered this beforehand.
She just hadn't expected Ji Yunhuai to take care of even such a trivial matter for her. He really was more thoughtful than she had imagined.
"Oh, Mr. Ji is here? Hello, Mr. Ji." Lu Jiaoyue, who was following behind Lu Xiaoxiao, froze for a moment before remembering that Ji Yunhuai was an investor in the drama. After greeting him politely, she asked in some confusion, "Do investors have to attend the costume photo shoot too?"
"Not normally, but I'm here to see your sister."
Ji Yunhuai answered Lu Jiaoyue's question patiently, then let his gaze shift naturally to Lu Shiyan.
Lu Shiyan was watching him too. His expression wasn't exactly friendly, though he did wear a somewhat polite smile.
