Lu Xiaoxiao was utterly confused, but she obediently let Lu Shiyan pull her along.
In those few short steps, countless guesses about what might have happened flashed through her mind. The worst was that Lu Bochen had tried to take his own life again, and her heart immediately began pounding.
But Lu Shiyan didn't turn toward anyone's room. He simply dragged her onto the nearby balcony, pressed her down into a wicker chair, and then... took a few photos.
Lu Xiaoxiao: "?"
What was he doing? Why couldn't she make sense of this?
Even more bewildered now, Lu Xiaoxiao craned her neck toward his phone screen as soon as he finished, eager to see exactly what her second brother had photographed.
The center of the image showed her in profile, with only half her face visible. In the lower-left corner was one of Lu Shiyan's slender, handsome hands, holding a small white flower between his index and middle fingers. From this angle, it looked as though he was about to tuck it into her hair.
[Uh... credit where it's due, this photo is actually pretty dreamy. My second brother's quite the photographer! But if he only wanted to take pictures of me... surely he wouldn't look this furious? What happened? Can I just ask? You're making me a little afraid to ask, bro!]
While Lu Xiaoxiao was still debating whether to speak, Lu Shiyan spoke as though he could hear her thoughts. "Xiaoxiao, something's happened online. Stay off the internet for the next few days. Whatever you hear, don't take it to heart. Wait until I've handled it."
He tried to keep his tone calm as he said this, but the dark anger in his eyes refused to be suppressed. He was clearly furious.
Without waiting for Lu Xiaoxiao's reply,
