In its excitement, 037 couldn't quite keep its voice down, and Lu Xiaoxiao hit it without a moment's hesitation.
"What are you howling for?" After a thump, Lu Xiaoxiao expressionlessly withdrew the fist she had brought down on the blond man's head. "It's the middle of the night. Can you keep it down?"
037 clutched its head and quieted down, despair written all over its face: Wasn't I supposed to look cool after transforming? How did this go wrong?
"I... I just thought a more mature appearance would set the mood better for talking about this." It wilted, mumbling its explanation. "I'm not actually a kid... I'm over a hundred years old. I'm plenty grown-up!"
Lu Xiaoxiao sneered. "You want to look mature? Why not just turn into an old grandpa?"
037 blinked twice, apparently taking her suggestion to heart. Its figure flickered, and a long beard appeared on its chin, along with a few wrinkles on its forehead.
That made things even worse. Thinking of its usual dopey, adorable personality, then looking at those exceptionally clear eyes on an old man's face... the whole scene became downright absurd.
