Both men stared at Shu Yao, but he said unhurriedly, "President Bo, let's talk another day. I have a meal scheduled with the Poulton Family Head, and I'm about to be late."
He gave Bo Lin another small, close-lipped smile before leaving.
The whole performance left Hua Jian dumbfounded.
Grinding his teeth, he looked at Bo Lin with a humorless smile. "That little fake innocent has some skills. He's mastered the art of being vague. But with the way he's clinging to you, don't tell me he's trying to seduce you."
Bo Lin watched Shu Yao for a moment with a deep frown before turning to Hua Jian. "I barely know him. We've only met three or four times."
Hua Jian grew even more annoyed. "Three or four times? You're the president of Bo, and he's a college student. What kind of relationship do you have that you'd meet three or four times?"
"You're a college student too, but you're traveling with me and staying in the same suite, aren't you?" Bo Lin said casually.
Hua Jian's eyes widened, his voice rising a couple of decibels. "You're comparing me to Shu Yao?"
Bo Lin's hand paused. He hadn't expected such a strong reaction. Continuing to pour the water, he said quietly, "Of course not. I wouldn't even know him if it weren't for you."
Still feeling aggrieved, Hua Jian pressed his lips together and looked at him pitifully.
Bo Lin sighed inwardly and said helplessly, "There's nothing between us. His return to the country has nothing to do with me either. It's his mouth. Whatever he wants to say, can I stop him from saying it?"
The delicate fragrance of tea drifted through the air as Bo Lin handed him the cup. "All right, have some tea. Weren't you thirsty?"
