When the servant came to report, the Poulton Family Head was sitting alone in the tea room.
"That was all the young master said?"
"Yes, sir."
"You may go."
After the servant left, the spacious tea room grew even quieter.
The pot held some of the finest black tea from his collection. Unfortunately, he was the only one there to enjoy it.
After Candy left the Winery Estate, it remained as quiet as ever.
The servants went about their duties. The family doctors worked on the second floor of an annex behind the Winery Estate.
Their work was usually very leisurely, since the Poulton Family Head was the only person they needed to attend to.
Today, the family doctors' office was a little livelier than usual. All their conversation revolved around the adopted son the family head had just taken in.
Dr. Fla got along quite well with the others.
He had always been good at listening to other people talk.
He listened more and spoke less, if at all.
Suddenly, the phone in his pocket vibrated.
Fla stiffened. Instead of taking out his phone, he stood up. "I'm off work. Keep chatting."
The others paid little attention to his departure. After all, Fla had always been the quietest and least troublesome person at the Poulton Winery Estate.
Without his doctor's coat, Fla looked like a classic gentleman from F Country.
There was a small parking lot in the rear courtyard of the Winery Estate. Anyone who drove to work left through the back gate.
His generous salary had allowed him to buy a new sports car. Paired with his courteous face, the luxury car made for a very convincing facade.
