The Titan Giant Ape met Bai Yu's gaze and clearly recognized him. It raised a hand rather humanely, though it was impossible to tell whether it wanted to greet him or scratch its head to ease the awkwardness.
But with that slight lift of its hand, several large trees in front of it were suddenly uprooted, instantly exposing it.
Liu Erlong, the Dragon Duke, and the Snake Matriarch were horrified.

Then, the Dragon Duke, the Snake Matriarch, and Liu Erlong turned toward the Titan Giant Ape and assumed fighting stances.

Bai Yu and the other two were hurled who knew how far before crashing to the ground. Fortunately, Soul Power protected them, so they did not pass out.
Bai Yu did not even bother dusting himself off. He helped Meng Yiran and Jiang Zhu up and asked:
"You two weren't hurt, right?"
Jiang Zhu shook her head, her expression fairly calm.
"No."
Meng Yiran, however, had gone pale and looked utterly lost.
"Was that really the legendary Titan Giant Ape? It was as tall as a mountain! Grandpa and Grandma will be okay, right?"
Seeing this, Jiang Zhu comforted her.
"Don't worry. Your grandfather, grandmother, and dean Erlong should have no problem protecting themselves.
