As they headed out, Bai Chen happily carried an escape room gift set, while Lin Jingchen walked quietly beside him.
"Where are we going now? Are you busy later?" Bai Chen asked, gazing longingly at the rides outside.
"Let's take a look outside," Lin Jingchen said gently. "They look pretty fun."
In truth, he had squeezed out enough free time for the escape room that morning. He still had a pile of documents to review that afternoon, and if he left them unread, they would only add to his workload that evening.
But when it came to Bai Chen, the answer was already in his heart before he even gave it any thought.
In the past, he had always put work first and kept a strict routine. Once he made a plan, he rarely changed it, almost like a robot. But Bai Chen's arrival seemed to have rendered all those carefully laid plans meaningless.
There was one kind of plan he would never give up on, though: anything involving Bai Chen. Those plans were not ones he would lightly change.
That was something he stood by.
Bai Chen's eyes brightened at his words. He turned and asked again, "Are you sure you don't have anything important to do this afternoon?"
Bai Chen was a little doubtful. Surely someone like Lin Jingchen, who ran such a large company, could not have this much free time. His father and brother certainly did not; even their weekends were packed. Besides, he and Lin Jingchen had spent so long in Miaojiang last time.
Faced with Bai Chen's doubtful gaze, Lin Jingchen gave a soft chuckle, his alluring eyes lifting slightly at the corners behind his thin-framed glasses.
"Mm," he said. "I really don't have much to do. It's not as if I'm that busy
