Dawn broke the next day.

"Mm, my life as an Exchange Student is finally starting."

Luo Mang raised his arms, stretched, and yawned.

As for yesterday,

after Kurotsuchi had been called away, he hadn't seen her again. She had clearly stood him up.

His best guess was that her father, Kitsuchi, had either persuaded her to stay or forcibly kept her there. Either was possible.

But that didn't matter. They had already agreed on a time before parting: if she wasn't back in ten minutes, Luo Mang would order.

Once the agreed time passed, he ordered dinner. She still hadn't arrived by the time the food came, so he could safely switch straight into devouring mode.

It certainly deserved to be called delicious, and he polished it off in no time.

As for what Kurotsuchi might do afterward, there was still a chance she would suddenly look for him at the restaurant or the Inn.

To prevent that sort of mishap, Luo Mang had even used the Diary on his way back to complain and drop a few hints.

That should keep her from making another wasted trip. He also hinted that he might not have time tomorrow, steering any talk of meeting back toward his Inn.

He didn't know whether Kurotsuchi had understood his hints, but at least she hadn't bothered him last night or this morning.

Or had Kitsuchi locked her up to keep some pig from stealing his precious cabbage?

He could get his exchange program underway first and discuss spending time together later.

Luo Mang stretched and yawned again, left his room, and bought a little breakfast outside to try before going to find his teacher for lessons.

As for where to look?

They hadn't arranged anything. Did his teacher really have time?

That didn't matter.
