Night.
At the entrance to Konoha.
Luo Mang and the others had just returned from a mission. After sorting out the paperwork, Kakashi led them into the village, fatigue showing on every face.
"Not bad. We already went over everything on the way back, but since we have nothing else to do, let's review it again."
Kakashi put away the Icha Icha Paradise in his hand. He lifted the forehead protector covering his eye slightly and spoke with a smile.
"Your performance today was practically flawless. Sakura, you showed none of the panic you had on your first mission, and the team didn't get careless over a minor victory."
"More importantly, you're no longer afraid of blood, and you've grown used to killing those criminals. Luo Mang, you seemed to be doing better today than you were the last two days?"
Luo Mang nodded at that. It was true. After so many missions, so many kills, and so many gruesome sights, it wasn't that he no longer felt fear-he had simply grown completely accustomed to it.
Still, that was how it had to be. He needed to adapt.
He had been on edge the last two days. After witnessing scenes that brutal, he hadn't even written in his diary. As for his Sharingan's ability, he had simply chosen to ignore it. Today, he had finally returned to normal.
Kakashi shifted his gaze from Luo Mang to the other three.
"You've all been working hard lately. You've been doing missions for just over a week without a single day off. Tomorrow, you can take a day to rest."
"Really?"
Sakura Haruno was the happiest to hear that. Her eyes lit up, and she even asked Kakashi again, scarcely able to believe it.
"Heh, of course. Would I lie
