She looked at the restrained Naruto, her eyes betraying no emotion, only scrutiny and absolute control.
"The Uzumaki and the Senju are allies."
"Do you think I'm that easy to fool?"
In the history she knew, the alliance between the Uzumaki and the Senju was a close one. As the Uchiha's strongest weapon, she naturally harbored a deep wariness toward both clans.
Besides, the person before her clearly carried the presence of a Sharingan.
With her Mangekyō Sharingan, Hikari was highly sensitive to the ocular power of other Sharingan. His was at least at the three-tomoe stage.
To her, Naruto's earlier gentle attitude could very well have been a more sophisticated form of deception.
"From now on, I ask, you answer."
She raised the kunai in her hand slightly, aiming its blade at Naruto's chest.
"If you refuse to answer, or if I think you're lying, I'll stab you.
Don't worry. Time can stretch on for a very long while here, and the pain will be very... real."
Naruto lowered his eyes, his golden hair losing some of its luster beneath the blood moon.
Uchiha Hikari saw the corners of his mouth slowly lift and silently put herself on guard.
"Go ahead."
Naruto raised his head, his voice calm. Being imprisoned and threatened hadn't rattled him. Instead, he seemed resigned, as though accepting that there was nothing to be done now that he had fallen for her technique.
Uchiha Hikari paused briefly.
She had expected furious roaring, silent resistance, or glib excuses, but she hadn't expected him to be so compliant.
His overly ready cooperation only made her more wary.
People who entered her Tsukuyomi Space usually either struggled in panic or defiantly cursed her out. This was the first time she had seen anyone so calm.
"Who sent you?"
