A Space-Time Rift opened in midair.
Two figures fell out of it.

Before landing, the adult Sasuke extended his only remaining arm slightly behind him for balance. One foot touched down first, and he landed steadily.
His empty left sleeve fluttered briefly in the gust from his landing, then fell back against his side.
His right hand moved smoothly to his waist, sliding the Kusanagi Sword fully into its sheath with a clang. The motion was crisp and clean.
Boruto Uzumaki, on the other hand, was nowhere near as composed.
He came crashing down like an angel from heaven, face-first.
Then he staggered to his feet and scratched his head.
"That hurt!"
Once Boruto got up, he looked around and realized they had landed in a forest.
Sasuke suddenly sank into a crouch. He had expended too much chakra, and a stabbing pain shot through the Rinnegan in his left eye.
The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan in his right eye also reverted to a normal eye.
"Mr. Sasuke, are you all right?"
Seeing Sasuke down on one knee, Boruto immediately rushed to his side, his voice full of concern.
Sasuke did not answer immediately. His lips were pressed tightly together, and his breathing was slightly heavier than usual.
Not only was his chakra nearly exhausted, but more troubling still, waves of burning, needlelike pain were coming from the Rinnegan in his left eye. Even his vision had become somewhat blurred.
He had also expended a great deal of ocular power.
To reduce the drain, he reverted the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan in his right eye to an ordinary black eye.
"I'm fine."
Only after a moment did Sasuke speak in a low voice.
"I just used too much chakra."
He briefly closed his eyes, trying to steady the
