Guy ran excitedly, his long white beard whipping in the wind.
He deliberately slowed down so Naruto could keep up behind him.
Naruto steadied his breathing and struggled to keep pace with Might Guy.
"Oh my, they certainly are energetic!"
Kizashi Haruno had just opened the window when he saw the master and student running past.
Mebuki Haruno promptly shut the window.
"Hey, I was just about to air the room out."
"Air it out? Didn't you see that... fellow running past?"
"Didn't Lord Third explain it? He isn't some incarnation of the Demon Fox. He's a child from the Uzumaki Clan.
Technically, he's even nobility!"
While fishing, Kizashi Haruno had heard a fellow angler mention that there used to be a country near Konoha called the Land of Whirlpools, whose Daimyo bore the Uzumaki surname.
"Nobility, my foot. I've never heard of any Uzumaki Clan in Konoha.
Lord Third must have banned discussion of the Demon Fox because he's worried it'll wreak havoc on Konoha again.
I've already told Sakura to stay away from that fellow. What part of him looks noble? The Yamanaka, Nara, Hyuga, and Uchiha are the real nobles!"
"All right, all right. Keep that kind of talk between us. Don't say it in front of Sakura.
That boy looks about the same age as our Sakura. They might even end up classmates someday."
"That was such a satisfying workout, Teacher Cheng Dai!"
Naruto and Guy lay on the grass, smiling up at the glittering night sky.
The training was exhausting, but the improvement was considerable.
His stamina, energy, and even appetite had all improved greatly.
Guy nodded.
"Exactly! Every time I finish training, I feel so much more openhearted!"
After they rested for a while, Guy abruptly sat up.
