"As expected of me, haha."
A familiar, hearty voice, tempered by a grown man's composure, rang out from the other side of the battlefield with a hint of laughter.
Everyone turned toward the voice. The Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, who had been pinned beneath the Daikokuten cube Isshiki had created using "Daikokuten" and rendered immobile by the Black Rods impaling him, was now looking their way.
The enormous Daikokuten cube on top of him had vanished at some point.
After dealing with Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, young Naruto had immediately noticed the situation over here.
Using the power of the Black Eyes he had just acquired, he had successfully shrunk and removed the Daikokuten cube pinning his adult self down.
Hearing his adult self's remark, young Naruto smiled too. He walked up to the Seventh with the other three, extended his right hand, and introduced himself:
"Let's get acquainted. I'm Naruto Uzumaki, from Another Timeline. I'm currently Konoha's Sixth Hokage."
The Seventh looked at the spirited boy before him, so much younger than himself yet already shouldering the weight of being Hokage, and an indescribably strange feeling welled up inside him.
He broke into an infectious grin, raised his right hand, and firmly clasped young Naruto's.
"That's amazing! You became Hokage so young!"
The Seventh's praise was heartfelt. The boy looked about Boruto's age, yet he was already Hokage.
As far as he remembered, Gaara was the only other person who had become a Kage at roughly the same age as this version of himself from Another Timeline.
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, this world's Seventh Hokage. It's great to meet you."
Their hands remained tightly clasped, both of them excited.
"Stop moving. Your wounds are still bleeding."
A low, familiar voice cut in.
The adult Sasuke Uchiha had come to the Seventh's side
