The Hyuga Estate.
Unlike the warm, somewhat "crowded" atmosphere of the modern Uzumaki household, the Hyuga Clan's estate retained the grandeur and solemnity of an ancient noble family, with sprawling grounds, deep courtyards, and traditional architecture.
Still, alongside its traditional foundations, there were signs of modernization.
Little Hinata and little Hanabi curiously surveyed this Hyuga home, both familiar and unfamiliar.
The layout had indeed changed considerably. Some corridors had been relocated, the courtyard landscaping had been redesigned, and quite a few facilities they had never seen had been added.
Most of it was still built from wood, though.
Considering how long Konoha had existed, these buildings could already qualify as historical artifacts.
Although it was night, the moonlight and the estate's lights were enough to illuminate the paths. Still, to avoid drawing unnecessary attention and having to explain themselves, little Hinata and little Hanabi had followed Adult Hinata's suggestion and used the Transformation Technique before entering the Hyuga Estate.
Little Hinata had taken Boruto's appearance, while little Hanabi had taken Himawari's.
"Boruto" and "Himawari" held hands as they followed behind the others.
Little Hanabi, disguised as Himawari, clutched little Hinata's hand tightly, her small face tense.
Although this was nominally "home," twenty years of change made everything feel so unfamiliar that it did not feel like "coming home" at all.
Seemingly sensing their unease, Adult Hinata explained softly and gently:
"Some things have changed, but Father has always had my room and Hanabi's kept just as they were, with regular cleaning."
She pointed toward one part of the estate. "They're over there. I can take you to see them later. Technology is developing so quickly these days that a lot of old facilities need renovating or replacing. The Hyuga Clan has been keeping up
