Beneath the moon's rocky strata and ancient ruins lay the final resting place where Kaguya Otsutsuki had been sealed.
Time seemed to have stopped here, and space stood frozen. Only the enormous white figure at the center, held firmly captive by the power of Yin-Yang Release, bore witness to the sorrow and loneliness of the former Progenitor of Chakra.
A black vortex opened, revealing a figure.
It was Naruto Uzumaki's Wood Clone.
The Wood Clone surveyed his surroundings warily. After confirming that he had triggered no alarms or abnormal reactions from the seal, his gaze settled on the enormous woman inside it, Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Kaguya showed no reaction to seeing Naruto again.
She knew that both her children were watching this place.
The Wood Clone wasted no time. He quickly took Black Zetsu out of the Sealing Scroll.
A thick, pitch-black substance resembling tar slowly flowed from the mouth of a jar. It landed on the ground and squirmed a few times, gradually coalescing into a creature with two tiny, beady eyes and a look of bewildered suspicion.
It was Black Zetsu, who had spent a long time asleep under the layers of seals Shino Aburame had placed on him using kikaichū.
As Black Zetsu was released, a swarm of tiny kikaichū flew off the surface of his body and slipped into the Wood Clone's sleeve like creatures returning to their nest.
This was the contingency Shino had left behind. If Black Zetsu tried to escape, the kikaichū would rush out again and drag him back.
Without the kikaichū's constant suppression, Black Zetsu's consciousness quickly awakened.
His beady eyes blinked, confused at first, before focusing on the Wood Clone in front of him.
"You... you're the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, Naruto Uzumaki?"
Black Zetsu's voice was shrill and distorted, full of astonishment.
