Moonlight spilled like water over the tiled rooftops, bathing the area in a soft, clear glow.
Tenten stretched out lazily on the roof of her family's Weapon Shop, her hands behind her head as she gazed at the bright moon overhead.
The cool night breeze brushed her hair and cheeks, bringing a rare moment of peace.
Two familiar figures kept her company.
Neji Hyuga sat cross-legged, his back perfectly straight. His white eyes looked especially cool beneath the moonlight. He seemed to be regulating his breathing, or perhaps lost in thought.
Meanwhile, Rock Lee was doing push-ups on a nearby roof ridge at astonishing speed and with remarkably precise form. Sweat had soaked his green training suit, glistening faintly in the moonlight, and he continued to growl out his count: "One thousand nine hundred seventy-eight! One thousand nine hundred seventy-nine!"
"Ah... this is nice."
Tenten gazed at the starry sky and murmured, "You're all back. It's so nice."
She meant Neji and Rock Lee, as well as all their companions who had returned safely from the recent string of upheavals and missions.
