Ultimately, however, he turned to Hiruzen Sarutobi, nodded slightly, and spoke politely:

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at his two old acquaintances. One was a former comrade whose ideals clashed with his own, whose unscrupulous methods had ultimately led to their falling out.
