The scenery here differed from Hashirama and Madara's apocalyptic wasteland, Sasuke's Training Grounds, and Hiashi's ancient ruins.
It seemed to be a strange space somewhere between reality and illusion. Liquid ripples of energy flowed across the ground, while faintly glowing energy crystals of varying sizes hung in the air.
The light was hazy, the colors ever-shifting.
The two combatants were Kaguya Otsutsuki and Asura.
Kaguya was expressionless, her pure Byakugan and the red Rinnegan on her forehead radiating a cold glow.
She was not at her peak after devouring the entire Shinobi World's chakra, and some of her power was missing. Even so, the reserves and oppressive presence of the "Progenitor of Chakra" still loomed over the entire battlefield like an invisible iceberg.
Asura, meanwhile, shone with golden light.
His fighting style was sweeping and forceful, his power immense. Every punch and kick carried enough might to shake mountains as he tried to counter his grandmother's unpredictable kekkei mōra and spatial abilities with sheer strength and resilience.
Simply put, his left fist dealt heavy damage, and his right fist dealt damage heavily.
"Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!"
Kaguya raised both hands. Countless enormous chakra fists appeared out of thin air and hammered toward Asura like a torrential downpour.
"Sage Art: Gate of the Great God!"
Asura dared not take them head-on. He formed hand seals, summoning red torii gates that fell from the sky to block some of the attacks. At the same time, he dodged rapidly, shattering any fists that slipped through with the force of his own punches.
This was a technique he had only recently begun learning. Relying solely on what he had used a thousand years ago would not have been enough for this battle.
The battle was extraordinarily fierce.
