Yui escaped with the Byakugan but was trapped in Hyuga Feng’s Laboratory after he discovered Ikuko Hyuga’s death and began searching for her. Shobue entered the Hyuga Clan Compound to reach Yui, while Hyuga Feng found Yui’s hiding place and attacked.
