At the sight of Yui raising both hands, Dan Katō's soul abruptly stopped and hovered in midair in confusion.
"You..." He hesitated, wanting to say something but unable to get the words out.
Jiraiya and Orochimaru exchanged a glance, each seeing the bewilderment in the other's eyes.
After a second of stunned confusion, Orochimaru moved forward without hesitation.
He seized her hands.
He pulled a length of chain from his pocket and wound it tightly around them, then took a sealing tag from his ninja tool pouch and stuck it onto the chain.
"Phew..." Only after finishing all of that in one go did Orochimaru breathe a sigh of relief.
"Could you be a little gentler with me?" Watching Orochimaru's actions, Yui shook her head in exasperation.
"Who knows whether you're trying to trick us?" Orochimaru snapped.
Yui felt rather helpless at that.
"I already said I surrender. Of course I'm not going to trick you."
"Yui!" Jiraiya was rather pleased to see her surrender. Although he had no idea why she had suddenly given up, it was still a good thing.
"Yui, if you didn't do it, I'll definitely help you!" he said solemnly.
Yui knew Jiraiya was trying to comfort her, but all she could do was nod.
Still, her gaze remained fixed on Dan Katō's soul, trying to figure out the secrets of the Spirit Transformation Technique.
Orochimaru frowned at where Yui was looking. Although he didn't know why she had surrendered, he still needed to take precautions.
He walked over to the soul, which was still frozen in bewilderment, and said slowly, "Dan Katō! That's enough!"
