"Shobue, what's wrong?"
As Yui approached, she saw Shobue standing there in a daze.
And was she staring at her?
Feeling a little uneasy under that stare, Yui waved a hand in front of Shobue's eyes.
"Does my face look ugly in Sage Mode?" She touched her face, but there didn't seem to be anything unusual on it!
At that thought, she began forming hand seals to summon a water mirror...
But before she could finish, a pair of small, fair hands caught hers.
Looking bashful, Shobue said slowly, "Yui, let me look a little longer..."
Yui: "???"
Feeling a chill on her body, she looked down and finally realized she hadn't put her outer clothes on. Her cheeks flushed briefly, then she shook her head helplessly.
"You're such a pervert, Shobue..."
Oh, fine. If she wants to look, let her! With that thought, she simply lowered her hands, abandoning her unfinished hand seals.
Shobue: ???
Was Yui getting the wrong idea?
Oh, well. Let her misunderstand. She stopped holding herself back and stared straight at Yui's face without looking away.
Only after a long while did Shobue come back to her senses.
"Ahem..."
"Yui, congratulations on learning Sage Mode..."
Shobue smiled to cover her embarrassment.
After a moment's thought, she changed the subject. "By the way, Yui, have you noticed anything unusual about your body?"
Anything unusual?
Yui considered it for a moment, then shook her head.
"Nothing unusual, really. Unless you mean my body becoming stronger?"
"I feel like I'm brimming with strength..."
"That's not what I meant."
Shobue sighed. Had she really not noticed the pair of horns growing out of her forehead?
"Did you feel any pain in your forehead while you were practicing Sage Mode just now?" she prompted again.
"Pain?"
Resting her chin on
