"Is that really true?"
Yui grew a little excited, and the blush that had yet to fade from her face deepened with that excitement.
"Yes!" Nai Hyuga nodded. Seeing Yui happy lifted her spirits a little, too.
"Then let's leave right now!"
Yui's body began gradually dissolving from the feet up. Over the course of their conversation, most of her body had already disappeared, leaving only a translucent upper body.
"What do I need to do?"
Realizing she had little time left, Yui grew a little anxious.
Nai Hyuga, however, remained unhurried, stroking Yui's long hair again and again.
"Yui, your hair has grown longer..."
"Nai... is this really the time...?" Yui was momentarily speechless. Weren't we supposed to be talking about getting out? Why are we talking about my hair now?
Nai Hyuga shook her head at that. "Yui, wait for me outside. I'll be out shortly."
"But..." A layer of white mist began to shroud Yui's upper body, and the world before her eyes grew increasingly blurry.
She glanced down at her body.
Seeing this, she had no choice but to urge her, "Nai, I'll be waiting outside. You have to come out!"
With those words, Yui vanished completely from that space.
"Thank you..." Feeling the absence of the person in her arms, Nai Hyuga looked a little forlorn.
As she sensed the chaotic, noisy space around her, irritation began to stir in her heart.
What's going on? This was supposed to be the happiest time of my life. Why does it feel irritating now?
Feeling the lingering warmth on her lips, she couldn't help but smile faintly. It seemed this was no longer the happiest moment of her life.
This feeling really does make me want to linger forever!
