Taking the Byakugan from her hand, Yui let a green mist gradually rise from her palm.
She slowly pressed it over Nai's eye socket.
Nai Hyuga felt only a cool sensation, followed by a cold tear slipping unnoticed from the corner of her eye.
After a while, Yui finally withdrew her hand.
Yui asked, "Nai, how do you feel?"
"Good. I can make out blurry shapes now." Nai Hyuga nodded.
"It's just a shame there's only one."
Yui sighed helplessly. "Nai, do you need me to find you another Byakugan?"
Nai Hyuga covered her still-aching eye socket and shook her head at those words. "No need. As long as I can see, that's enough."
"But..." Yui wanted to say something, only to stop herself. Suddenly, something occurred to her, and she finally sighed. "That'll have to do..."
"Nai, get used to it for now. Give me five minutes."
With that, Yui walked a short distance away and sat cross-legged, pressing her palms together and closing her eyes tightly.
"Mm..." Nai Hyuga lifted her heavy eyelid and rolled her eye until it settled into place. After struggling for a while, she could finally make out her surroundings, albeit indistinctly.
This seemed to be a dark cave, and beneath her lay an enormous block of ice.
Feeling the chill of her body, she glanced down through her blurry vision, and her face instantly flushed.
"This..."
She looked around and finally noticed the clothes placed beside her. Without hesitation, she grabbed them.
Only when she picked up the garment did she realize it was a black robe that could cover only the outside of her body.
Oh, whatever. At least it's something to cover myself with.
"I wasn't wearing anything just now. How embarrassing..."
"Damn it, Yui got an eyeful." Blushing, she muttered
