The Land of Whirlpools really is on the verge of being wiped out.
She had already noticed it while flying overhead.
Many ships from other ninja villages had gathered around this small island, blocking nearly every waterway leading out.
There was simply no way to leave.
Just then, Uesugi Yuri, who was leading the way, suddenly turned around, clasped her hands behind her back, and began walking backward.
"Ladies, I don't think I know your names yet!"
"Our names?"
Yui paused. It seemed she really hadn't introduced herself yet.
"Ahem, I'm Yui Hyuga..." Yui placed a hand against her chest, then pointed her other hand at Nai Hyuga beside her. "And this is Nai Hyuga..."
Uesugi Yuri smiled sweetly. "So you're Yui and Nai! Welcome to the Land of Whirlpools."
Still smiling, Uesugi Yuri turned around again and continued leading the way.
"Ladies, the reception room is just ahead. Stay close!"
A little while later, Uesugi Yuri led Yui and Nai into the Land of Whirlpools' Reception Room.
"Yui, please wait here for a moment. I'll find someone to fetch the clan leader." With that reminder, Uesugi Yuri hurried out.

Yui shook her head and looked around at the room's furnishings.
The room was spacious, and everything looked old. Apart from the load-bearing beams, the entire room was made of wood.
What surprised Yui, however, was that there wasn't a speck of dust on the tables or floor.
It was as though someone had just been here.
