Uesugi Yuri shook her head and slowly explained, "It's almost dark, so I came here especially to check on you, Yui."

With that, she took a wrapped lunch box from inside her clothes and held it out to Yui.

"Yui, my mother made this lunch for you," she said. "She said your advice this morning really helped her, so she made you a lunch to thank you."

Yui paused, then accepted it with a smile. "Thank you..."

Uesugi Yuri was pleased to see her accept the lunch, but she did not leave. Instead, she watched Yui quietly, as though waiting for something.

Her eager gaze left Yui feeling a little awkward. She glanced down at Uesugi
