"Whoa!" Kazeno cried out, struggling desperately to break free of that terrifying force.
"You're not getting away!" Hatake Sakumo shouted, putting more strength into his grip and hurling Kazeno backward.
Kazeno traced an arc through the air, already clear of the cliff. But just then, a force struck his back, kicking him toward the cliff's edge again before he could land.
"See you!" Kazeno flashed Hatake Sakumo a smile as he sailed past him, then plunged over the cliff.
"Yui, you..." Hatake Sakumo's face darkened as he looked in confusion at Yui approaching from behind him.
"Yui, I think you owe me an explanation. I was going to capture that person and get some information out of him. Now look-we've got nothing!" Hatake Sakumo demanded.
Orochimaru and Nai Hyuga noticed something was wrong and hurried over.
Orochimaru was puzzled. He hadn't noticed what had just happened, but judging by the two people's expressions, it was probably nothing good.
"Ahem..." Yui scratched her head awkwardly and said with a sheepish smile, "Actually, that person was me..."
"That was you?" Hatake Sakumo stared at Yui, looking even more confused. "Yui, what do you mean?"
"Ah..." Yui sighed, considering the matter. Keeping this clone a secret didn't seem to serve much purpose. Letting the two of them know probably wouldn't cause any harm.
With that thought, she lowered her voice and said, "That person was actually my shadow clone, combined with a unique Transformation Technique to create an undercover infiltrator!"
"That's why I let him go."
"What?" Orochimaru exclaimed beside her. "An infiltrator? How is that possible? That person didn't have your chakra signature at all."
Their exchange had given him a clear picture of what had happened, and he was the first to question Yui's explanation.
